ERP Business Systems Consulting
Provided ERP business systems consulting services focused on the functional and application sustaining activities for various business applications including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), and Data Warehouse/Enterprise Reporting. Daily communication, advisory, and planning activities included working both with executive leadership including C-suite, directors, and governance council and with operational teams including user groups, functional managers, development teams, and project teams. Directly responsible for driving the strategy and approach associated with ERP evaluation and selection, future state Business Systems design, and optimization of business applications. Also responsible for providing advisory guidance and support to the procurement team for content and requirements needed to develop the vendor Request For Proposals (RFP’s) for purposes of selection, design, and acquisition of an ERP system and System Integration/Implementation Team. Resulted in the selection of Deltek’s Costpoint SaaS solution.
ERP Program Management and Implementation
Managed the transition (pre- and post- acquisition) from multiple legacy accounting and job cost systems to the new business applications recently acquired from Deltek, Ultimate, and Concur. Led the effort to identify, select, and negotiate the acquisition of Deltek Costpoint, Ultimate Human Resources, and Concur Travel SaaS licenses prior to the implementation effort. Developed the overall project budget including but not limited to the planning and hiring of the entire project resource team. As the overall Project Manager and Costpoint subject matter resource, also provided daily project management, functional knowledge support, guidance, and development towards the project plan, system design, configuration, data migration, process, and transaction testing across all applications through “Go-Live”.
ERP Systems and Operating Model Design
Assisted leadership and key personnel with a complete financial operating and reporting model, redesign, consolidation, upgrade, and transition of 25+ entities into a single reporting instance of Deltek Costpoint ‘On-Premise’. Designed both the functional and technical approach including the identification of the companies’ new cost accounting model, financial and accounting reporting requirements, and led the effort to determine if ‘on-premise’ versus ‘SaaS’ was the best option for the organization. As the overall Project Manager and Costpoint subject matter resource, provided daily project management, functional knowledge support, guidance, and advisory services to help delivery more efficient processes and methodologies for budget and planning, processing, reporting, and onsite technical management of the Deltek Costpoint product suite.
